With 25+ years of experience in the beauty industry as a beauty editor and publicist, Robin knows a lot about what goes into making your lipstick and face cream, and it's not always what you think! Over the last few years, her passion shifted from promoting products for press attention to the intention and origin stories behind them. Right before the pandemic, she took a trip to India, which transformed her outlook on the consumer industry. Witnessing firsthand how western consumerism affects a developing country, she had an idea to create a collective of mission-driven beauty brands that put people and the planet before profit. In May of 2021, she created Beautyologie.com, a fair trade and ethically sourced online marketplace for conscious consumers who want beauty products that make a difference, not just on the surface of their skin, but in the world we live in. From radiance-inducing face oils handcrafted by Peruvian producers to skin-loving ingredients sourced by female farmers in Ghana, Beautyologie puts humanity at the forefront of the beauty industry. All their products are ethically sourced, have transparent supply chains, follow fair trade principles, and are cruelty-free for animals and humans.
